Connectors

The Connectors module in the Quantela Platform streamlines data exchange, integration, and automation across internal and external systems. It establishes secure, high-performance communication between the platform and various data sources, APIs, and enterprise applications, ensuring seamless interoperability.

Designed for scalability and adaptability, the module supports event-driven integrations, batch processing, and on-demand data retrieval, enabling organizations to ingest, process, and distribute data efficiently. By reducing manual effort and optimizing workflow automation, the platform enhances operational efficiency and real-time decision-making.

Key Features:

1.Dynamic Connection Management

The platform offers flexible connection management, enabling seamless integration across various data ecosystems. It supports multiple protocols, including HTTPS, SQL, MQTT, SFTP, FTP, WebSocket, Webhook, and RDBMS databases, ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation. Users can configure connections with parameters such as network addresses, authentication methods, TLS security, API keys, OAuth2 tokens, and HTTP headers, maintaining secure and persistent links to data sources.

With multi-protocol support, the system facilitates real-time data flow while accommodating both structured and unstructured data. This capability simplifies integration with legacy systems, cloud services, and IoT networks, creating a unified data pipeline that enhances operational efficiency and interoperability.

2. Connection Templates for Reusability

The platform streamlines integration by offering predefined connection templates that store authentication credentials, endpoint configurations, and access parameters. These templates enable multiple connectors to share cached credentials, reducing redundant configurations and simplifying system-wide integration.

For SQL-based connections, templates retain database server details, user credentials, and security settings, while individual connectors manage query execution and data retrieval. In REST API integrations, templates handle OAuth2 token refresh cycles, allowing connectors to focus on endpoint-specific queries and payload structures. This standardized approach minimizes manual effort, enhances security, and accelerates deployment by ensuring consistent configurations across the system.

3. Advanced Search Capabilities

Managing multiple connectors and data endpoints can be complex. The platform simplifies this with an intelligent search engine that allows users to quickly locate connectors, templates, and configuration settings based on metadata attributes and custom search criteria.

Users can search by connection name, ID, connector type, authentication method, associated templates, and security settings. The system also supports advanced filtering for HTTP connectors, including SSL verification status, authentication strategy, base URL, request parameters, and headers. Additionally, custom scripts—such as pre-request and post-request scripts—can be used to refine searches for connectors that apply authentication logic, response validation, or conditional execution rules. This comprehensive search functionality improves accessibility, troubleshooting, and system-wide auditability, making it easier to manage integrations at scale.

4. Streamlined Integration for Complex Systems

The platform simplifies multi-system integrations with built-in authentication flows, enabled streams, and advanced request/response handling. It supports secure SSL verification, token caching, and role-based access control, ensuring compliance and data protection.

Designed for event-driven workflows, the system enables automation based on real-time data triggers. For example, an IoT sensor publishing data over MQTT can instantly initiate a transformation process that pushes insights to a cloud-based analytics engine. By optimizing each data stream and request, the platform ensures high-performance, secure, and reliable system interactions.

5. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Access control is a core aspect of the Connectors module, governed by strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies. Administrators can assign permissions at a granular level, restricting sensitive configuration modifications to authorized users while allowing read-only access for monitoring teams.

The platform enforces multi-tier authentication and maintains audit logs with version tracking, ensuring compliance and security across all integrations. Every modification is recorded, providing full traceability and protecting critical data from unauthorized changes.
